David White

David is the owner and chief instructor at Desert West. He has over 30 years of firearms experience and is passionate about the safe, fun and proficient use of all firearms. He is a 1911 Pistol enthusiast and collector.

As an instructor, David says this about his philosophy and approach to teaching: "The first thing I do is check my ego at the door. My students are not here to find out what I might think of myself. They are here to better themselves and focus on the course they are attending. Our classroom environment, by design, is non-intimidating, upbeat, educational, safe and fun. Our students are completely involved throughout the courses which helps them to better learn and retain the information and tactics that are presented to them."
